ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Come experience why spring in North Florida is one of the best times of the year! The dogwoods, azaleas and camellias are in full bloom, the weather is cool and LeMoyne’s Chain of Parks Art Festival is held in Tallahassee! Tallahassee’s Chain of Parks run through downtown Tallahassee just three blocks from the state Capitol and one block from The LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts. For the last ten years, this exclusive and popular annual festival is held in three of the six parks and along a portion of Gadsden Street leading to the LeMoyne facility.
The LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival is one of the regions largest and most prestigious juried outdoor art festivals. Each year more than 40,000 visitors enjoy the show. Artists from around the country apply for entry with an independent panel of judge’s selecting the 100 artists to attend the show.

ART CATEGORIES
There is a wide variety of outstanding artwork. Categories include Drawing/Painting, Fine Crafts, Jewelry, Mixed Media/Graphics, Photography and Sculpture.
AWARDS
The artists compete for awards totaling $8,500. Best of Show is $2,000. There are also 2 Judges Choice Awards at $1,000. First Place winners in each category receive $500 and Second Place winners in each category receive $250.
FAMILY FUN
Girls and boys can create their own artwork at the Children’s Workshop. Local art centers and museums feature a variety of fun, hands-on, art activates for children. Admission is free, and participants keep what they make. The Children’s Workshop hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm and is located on Gadsden Street in front of the LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts.
MAHASKA WHITLEY HIGH SCHOOL EXHIBIT
It’s a show within the show! Artwork by area high school students is on display at the LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts gallery. Take some time to wander through the displays and admire the creativity and talent exhibited by our local school kids. It’s worth a visit!
